The Savoy Country Inn Autumn Run

Our run to Talley was lead by Eifion and 15 cars met at our usual start point on a sunny Autumn afternoon. After a catch up with fellow members we left for Carmarthen on quite busy roads. Once we left the A40 just north of Llandeilo and joined the B4302 towards Talley the traffic quietened down and we enjoyed a relaxing drive to Talley.

We parked near the Abbey in Talley to admire the ruins and adjacent Church overlooking the Lakes before heading north on the B4337 to Llansawel. We continued on this road to Rhydcymerau where we turned off near an old Chapel and started our climb up to Mynydd Llanllwni.

We passed our picnic stop near the masts from the Memorial Run in July but this time we were heading in the opposite direction dropping down to Llanllwni enjoying the panoramic views on the way on a lovely sunny afternoon.

Our route back took us via the A485 to Carmarthen and on to St. Clears where we enjoyed a meal at The Savoy Country Inn to end another very enjoyable run.
