Sunday 15th December 2019 turned out to be quite a remarkable day. This was not because the WCMC was having a Sunday run, no, but the fact that we awoke to some very windy conditions. During the run we experienced heavy rain showers, a number of thunder storms accompanied by quite a few lightning strikes. We were also honoured by the sight of various rainbows with intermittent bursts of sunshine and snow storms. Amazing to think all of this was experienced during the course of a 2 hour run.
Jeff devised a brilliantly route. Nine cars started from Whitland CoOp carpark. First down to the coast, along some very picturesque country lanes, then back inland to Login.
Our hosts, Peter and Dawn, made us very welcome, thank you. Peter and Dawn tempted all 21 of us to ‘pile on the pounds’ with exquisite offerings. Who could resist home made cakes, scones, cookies and sandwiches.
When the time came for us to be on our way home, the rain had let up a little. We all went our different ways having had a lovely afternoon and proving that despite the weather. Just proves if you are in good company you can still have a very enjoyable time.
