27TH AUGUST 2016
What a lovely day, the sun was shining, nice and warm – a real summers day.
There were many attractions at the show with the main arenas being kept very busy with numerous showing and jumping classes for the riding fraternity, together with a very good turnout for the carriage driving class.
The tractor class sported close on fifty tractors, and the Classic car section had 19 cars.
These 2 classes being complemented by a Motor Cycle class, which sadly had only 3 entries; but what a beautiful BSA B31 on display, which was in ‘as new’ condition, accompanied by  2 mopeds.
Before  lunch time John and Lorna Harries headed off on a short run with a group of the car entrants, getting back in plenty of time for the judging which commenced about 2.00pm
Plenty of food on offer together with the statutory well equipped bar; all in all a super show, a credit to the Young Farmers again.
Certainly a show to put in one’s diary for next year.
Photos showing the car entrants attached.

WCMC Lunch Run to Gelli Fawr on the 13th March 2016

The first run of the season too place on Sunday, 13th March 2016 starting from the Co-op car park in Whitland. The weather was very kind to us and 20 cars with 41 occupants had a leisurely run thorugh the country side finisging up at Gelli Fawr for a carvery lunch.

The meal was excellant and this venue is thorougly recommended if you are visiting this area.

After lunch the run continued with a drive over the mountain down to the coast finishing up in Haverfordwest.

Many thanks to Lorna and John Harries for organising the run to the venue and to all members for supporting the event. Thanks also for 'Gelli Fawr' for making us so welcome. It was a very successful day enjoyed by all. We are now looking forward to many more weekend and evening runs through the summer.

P.S. Anyone wishing to join us on future runs please contcat the club via the 'Contact us' link.

A fantastic turn out for the 1st Carmarthenhsire County Run. It was great to see a wide variety of cars with over 180 turning up  on the day.  The weather was kind to us meaning many soft tops were down enjoying the occassion.  Photo's kindly taken by Jinzi Du with his mobile phone at the Whitland Rugby Club car park before the start of the event.  Hope you enjoy the photo's.

  • Good Day out. Directions provided very good. Some lovely scenary along the route. All marshals very helpful. Looking forward to the next one.
  • Very enjoyable. Excellant route with non taxing roads (Except for Llandeilo Road and the speed bumps in Brynamman). The speed bumps were highlighted in the road book, so no excuses really. More of the same next year please :)
  • Jan & I thoroughly enjoyed the run. Beautiful countryside with good stops. Lovely weather made the day perfect. Our thanks to the organisers. Hopefully the club will have new members as a result - Malcolm.
