Whitland Classic Motor Clubs contribution to Drive It Day was a Sunday Lunch run,
12 cars set from the North Road car Park and headed towards Meidrim along the lesser known and used roads. From Meidrim we headed towards Carmarthen but took a diversion to Merthyr and then on to Plough and Harrow.
From here we went along a scenic road to Bronwydd Arms and then on to Pontarsais, Pencader, Llanfihangel-ar-Arth and Llanllwni before climbing over llanybyther Mountain and then dropping down through Gwernogle to the Brechfa=Llansawel road. From here we went through llansawel and Talley to the Angel Inn at Salem, Llandeilo. A tractor run had also terminated at the pub but we had plenty of room to park amongst the Nuffields and Fordson Majors to name just a couple.
We had an excellent Lunch at the Angel but service was a little on the slow side which gave us plenty of time to put the world to rights. This was probably due to the licensee having only taken over a couple of weeks ago but the main thing was quality of the food was good.
Thanks to everyone who joined us and made it a good day.
