Welcome To Whitland Classic Motor Club

Welcome to the Whitland Classic Motor Club website, please take time to have a look at the club up coming, and past events, keep a look out for club run notices plus all the latest meeting news.

The clubs first meeting was held at Whitland Carnival back in August 2008, from humble beginnings the club has grown stronger with members from the surrounding area of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and south west Wales.

The clubs aim is to hold as many runs as possible during the year and actively enjoy our Classic Motors. We encourage people of all ages to get involved with the club, we welcome any motors, including Motorcycles, Van, Agricultural Vehicles, and ofcourse your old, and new classic cars.

Another important part of the club ethos is to raise as much money as we can for local charities and good causes. Over the years we have raised and donated thousands of pound to charities such as the MacMillan Cancer support, Wales Air Ambulance and the Carmarthen Children's Centre.

Meetings are held at 8.00pm on the last Thursday of every month at the Whitland Rugby Football Club, Social Club, King Edward Street, Whitland.

Whitland Classic Motor Club is a member of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC).

Login Car Run

  Written byWCMC Admin
      on 10 January 2020

Sunday 15th December 2019 turned out to be quite a remarkable day - not because the club were having a Sunday run, but the fact that we awoke that morning to some very high winds. What followed during the day was heavy rain showers, with a number of thunder storms accompanied by quite a few lightning strikes. We were honored by the sight of two or three rainbows with intermittent bursts of sunshine and lo and behold a snow storm. Amazing to think all of this was experienced during the course of the run. Jeff brilliantly devised the route which took the nine cars attending from Whitland Co-op car park down to the coast, along some very picturesque country lanes then back inland to Login. Our run terminated at 'Login Station' tearooms where we were to enjoy a Special Christmas Afternoon Tea. We were made very welcome by our hosts, Peter and Dawn, who had once again tempted all 21 of us to 'pile on the pounds' with their exquisite offerings of home made cakes, scones, cookies and sandwiches. When the time came for us to be on our way home, the rain had let up a little, we all went our different ways having had a lovely afternoon and proving that despite the weather if you are in good company you can still have a very enjoyable time.

What a lovely day, the sun was shining, nice and warm – a real summers day.
There were many attractions at the show with the main arenas being kept very busy with numerous showing and jumping classes for the riding fraternity, together with a very good turnout for the carriage driving class.
The tractor class sported close on fifty tractors, and the Classic car section had 19 cars.
